Isabelle Garlicka

Isabelle Garlicka, born in 1984 in Baden-Baden(Germany), received her first musical training in the Baden-Baden Contemporary Music Society under the Luxembourg composer Jeannot Heinen. She has sung her first solo as a long-time member of the Baden-Baden convent school choir (director: Konrad Samuelis) and received her first vocal training with mezzo soprano Gabriele Grund.

She was accepted into the class of Boris Bakow (Mozarteum Salzburg) in 2004 and has since 2007 continued her vocal training with Barbara Bonney, complemented by master courses with Angelika Kirchschlager, Antonio Carangelo and Mirella Freni.

Her first concert with André Previn in Salzburg (2008) was followed by guest appearances at the Opera School as Mimi in La Bohème and as Alice Ford in Falstaff.

In February 2010, Isabelle Garlicka was among the laureates of the singing competition "Wettbewerb Schloss Haldenstein". In summer 2010 she sang the Tatjana in Eugen Onegin in an Opera School production under the direction of Reinhard Seifried and Eike Gramss.
