Armin Gramer

The countertenor Armin Gramer was born in Klagenfurt, Austria. He studied in Vienna, first at Konservatorium Prayner, with Margarita Kyriaki and later on, at the Conservatory of Vienna with Helga Meyer-Wagner and Julia Conwell. He completed his studies in joining several mastercourses e.g. Richard Wistreich, Paul Esswood or Angelika Kirchschlager.

He worked at the Wiener Volksoper (A), the Kammeroper Rheinsberg (D), the Schlossfestspiele Wernigerode (D), the Bayerische Staatsoper Munich (D), the Sirene Operntheater (A), the Wiener Kammeroper (A) and is continuously working with the Clemencic Consort.

Armin Gramer was a prizewinner in the "musica juventutis" competition of the Wiener Konzerthaus and the International Singers Competition of the Kammeroper Rheinsberg, where he joined a production directed by Harry Kupfer.
